How to Record Parcel Weight and Dimensions for Yupoo Items

Keep packed-parcel measurements tied to a specific set of Yupoo item IDs and quote version instead of reusing figures from an earlier packing plan.

Measurements describe a parcel version

The weight and dimensions of an individual product are not the same as those of a packed parcel. If a handling service supplies parcel measurements, record the parcel identifier, date and included item IDs with the figures. Write the units exactly as given and note whether the service describes them as preliminary or packed values.

Do not carry numbers across changes

If an item is added, removed or repacked, treat the earlier measurements as historical. Ask the service for the current values before comparing a new quote. The parcel-quote matching guide ties a quotation to one contents list; this page preserves the measurement evidence behind that version.

Separate seller product dimensions from the warehouse parcel record. The seller and warehouse measurement comparison concerns the product itself and should not be used to infer a shipping parcel's size.

A small record format

Keep a row for parcel ID, item IDs, measurement date, weight, length, width, height, units and source message. If a field is unavailable, leave it blank and ask for clarification. The multi-item shipment guide discusses grouping decisions; it does not provide a measurement for your parcel. Do not calculate a billable weight, fee or route eligibility from incomplete information.
