Separate your seller purchase from a forwarding request, match incoming goods to receiving records and confirm parcel instructions with the handling service.
Start with the arrangement you actually have
Forwarding concerns goods sent to a receiving service for onward dispatch. Purchasing assistance concerns obtaining the goods from the seller. A service may offer one or both, but this tutorial does not assume that every buying agent accepts goods purchased elsewhere.
Obtain current receiving instructions
Before asking a seller to dispatch, confirm that the receiving service accepts the goods and obtain its current instructions for the delivery. Use the account or reference information it supplies for that request. Do not copy a warehouse address or recipient details from an unrelated guide.
Keep the seller order and the forwarding request linked in your own notes. If a seller separates a delivery into several packages, record the relevant incoming references so you can ask about an incomplete arrival clearly.
Match goods when they are received
Where receiving records are available, compare them with the seller order, item selection and quantity. Check any inspection information the service offers and ask about an unclear or unmatched item. Receiving goods does not by itself establish that they are ready or eligible for international shipment.
Make an onward parcel decision
Ask about the actual goods, destination and available handling instructions. Review packaging requirements and the current parcel quotation before approving dispatch. Do not infer free storage time, an insurance allowance or a delivery promise from the word “forwarding.”
Keep the final parcel reference alongside the incoming order records. A domestic delivery confirmation and an outward tracking reference describe different stages.
Who should handle a problem?
The seller should clarify the item it supplied, while the receiving or forwarding service should clarify the work it agreed to do. Ask each party about its applicable process rather than assuming one is responsible for every stage. Preserve their responses.
